Description
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration,(SAMHSA) through the Program Support Center (PSC) plans to award a sole source simplified acquisition to National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), 1931-13th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009. The purpose is to plan and present the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) sessions at the United States Conference on AIDS 2003 (USCA). The period of performance is six months from date of award. SAMHSA 33 speakers will plan, conduct and present variety of conference sessions, including: plenary sessions, workshops and training seminars. Each SAMHSA speakers will be given an opportunity to present important information on SAMHSA HIV/AIDS policy, HIV/AIDS initiatives, and HIV/AIDS grant programs. In addition, the feedback provided by conference participants on current and emerging issues will inform SAMHSA policy decisions and benefit SAMHSA?s development of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse prevention and treatment and mental health programs. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No Solicitation is available.
