- Description
- The U. S. Marine Corps; Blount Island Command (BIC), intends to purchase ISO Containers. The requirements are: Spring Assisted Flatrack 10 each 8.5x8x20 and 10 each 8x8x20. Option for additional containers for the same quanities are included for FY04 and FY05. Delivery should start 90 days after the award of the contract. Containers will be new, unused, collapsible end walls, ISO 1C full length Spring Assisted Flatrack, steel freight cargo container for transportation, distribution, and storage of military supplies. Containers will be manufactured to meet all the dimensions, ratings, and testing criteria for ISO criteria for Series 1, Designation 1C Freight Containers Standards handbook 34, ISO 9001 and or ISO 14001 Quality and Environmental Standards in manufacturing ISO Containers and as supplemented in the Statement of Work. All responsible parties may submit a proposa l which shall be considered. All parties proposing an offer on a Government contract must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The solicitation for the procurement will be posted on the NECO website (www.neco.navy.mil) and Federal Business Opportunites (www.fedbizopps.gov) within 5 business days of this announcement. Award will be made within 25 days of the solicitation being posted. All specific requirements for this procurement are within the solicition. If shipment from overseas is required, there is a mandatory requirement for the utilization of a Flag Ship for the transportation. Solicitation will be mailed to the Contracts Support Branch, Code 910, Blount Island Command, 5880 Channel View Blvd, Jacksonville FL, 32226-3404. No telephone calls will be accepted.
