Description
The Program Support Center has a requirement for the Office on Womens Health to solicit for contractors to develop and implement comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention and support services for incarcerated and newly released women living with HIV/AIDS in collaboration with local health care entities, social services and criminal justice offices. Specifically the contractor shall develop and implement a model ?Incarcerated and Newly Released Women and HIV/AIDS Support Program? to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS/STD prevention and support services to incarcerated and newly released women living with HIV/AIDS in order to provide a continuum of care (e.g. treatment, therapies, case management, etc.) and secondary prevention activities to improve health outcomes; propose a pilot program to address gaps in services to incarcerated and newly released women living with HIV/AIDS that will be implemented locally in partnership with local entities; and enter into a Memoranda of Understanding with local health care entities, social services, HIV/AIDS prevention/service providers, and criminal justice offices to implement a pilot program. This requirement is being solicited and awarded under FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The period of performance shall be one year from date of award and the Government anticipates making multiple awards from this solicitation, not to exceed 3 awards. A Request for Quotation will be posted approximately 15 day following the posting of this synopsis.
