Description: The Department of Justice (DOJ) intends to negotiate with Sterling Commerce (America) Inc. (Sterling) to expand the scope under the statement of work to include Sterling software for any operating platform required by DOJ under contract 01-C-0355 for the Justice Management Division, IRM, OSS division. This addition will increase the contract ceiling amount. The primary software provided under this contract is Connect:Direct which currently run on OS/390, VM and Windows NT. The platforms to be added is AIX Unix. The statutory authority for the proposed modification is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). See Note 22.
