Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The RFQ number is DTCG80-03-Q-3FRK88. This RFQ is issued under full and open competition. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 532412, and the size standard is 750 employees. Requirement is for Floating Crane Service at USCG ISC Boston, MA., from 11 Aug 03 through 15 Aug 03 from 0700 to 1500 Daily, in support of the MK75 Gun System Change out onboard the CGC ESCANABA, multiple lifts required. All interested, responsible, firms should submit their quotation no later than July 22, 2003, 12:00 p.m. EDT, to U.S. Coast Guard, MLCLANT (vpl-4), 300 E. Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102, ATTN: Douglas G. Landau. Facsimile copies will be accepted at (757) 628-4676. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order. The Government anticipates awarding one purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this synopsis/solicitation will offer the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. Quotations will be evaluated in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-2-Evaluation of quotations or offers. All vendors are to include with their quotes, a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, which may be downloaded from http://www.arnet.gov. MK 75 Gun Weapon System Change Out USCGC ESCANABA (WMEC 907) General Description of Work: All work is to be performed at the United States Coast Guard Integrated Support Center, 427 Commercial Street, Boston, MA. Lifting of assets is scheduled to begin Tuesday, 12 August2002 and end on Friday, 15 August 2003. Work will commence at 0700 (7 AM) and end at 1500 (3PM) daily. The alignment is scheduled to begin Monday, 25 August 2003 and end on Friday 29 August 2003. Work will commence at 2100 (9 PM) and end at 0500 (5 AM) daily. Crane services will be required only on Monday 25 August 2003 between the hours of 1200 (12 AM) and 1600 (4PM) to remove the CAS top cover, and during the next day light period following the completion of the alignment to replace the CAS top cover. Crane will be utilized to remove gun in shipping fixture, maintenance fixture, gun control panel, and various other ancillary pieces of equipment from trucks on pier. Lift the existing gun and gun control panel from the cutter and place them on the pier. Place the new gun and gun control panel on board the vessel. Place the gun in shipping fixture, maintenance fixture, gun control panel, and various ancillary pieces of equipment on to truck located on the pier. Lift and stage various pieces of equipment around pier area in support of the change out evolution.
