Description: SUBJECT: Participating in the 10th International Petroleum Environmental Conference (IPEC) DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy?s National Energy Technology Laboratroy (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to The University of Tulsa, Tulsa, OK for the participation in the 10th International Petroleum Environmental Conference (IPEC) as stated below. Statement of Work This funding is for the 10th annual International Petroleum Environmental Conference to be held at the Renaissance Hotel, Houston, TX. The feedback and specific comments received during and after the conference are testimonials to the success of this conference. The networking at the conference provides a forum for informal discussions throughout the conference leading to further solutions to the environmental problems facing the industry today. This purchase order is being issued to the University of Tulsa because there is no alternative since the University of Tulsa is the only university or business available. The participation in this project is relevant to the DOE mission and offers a unique opportunity in that it will bring together professionals from both the oil and gas industries and academia who seek solutions to environmental problems of a technical, legal and regulatory nature. Unlike any other conference, it offers real life answers, based on expert experiment and sound scientific analysis, making it a must for professionals on all ends of the environmental spectrum. The University of Tulsa has unique expertise in planning and meeting of this type, and has handled these meetings in the past. This request is considered to be sole source to the University of Tulsa. Therefore, no solicitation will result the announcement. This award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Request for information should be addressed to Mr. Robert L.
