- MT PFH 66-1(4), WEST FORK BITTERROOT RIVER ROAD BRIDGE, Bitterroot National Forest, Ravalli county, Montana. Initial notice posted to FedBizOpps on July 7, 2003. BY ISSUE OF THIS MODIFICATION WE ANNOUNCE THIS SOLICITATION AS FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This work consists of 0.725 km of bridge construction, riprap, MSE wall, embankment, base, paving, revegetation, signs and striping, and removal of existing bridge. The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; temporary traffic control; 1,000 m silt fence; 65 m bioswale; 8 slry units temporary turf establishment; 2,000 cu m watering for dust control; 2 ha clearing & grubbing; removal of structures: 1 ea bridge; 2 ea culverts; 234 m fence; 14,000 cu m excavation & embankment; 1,500 sq m earthwork geotextiles; 110 cu m structure excavation & backfill; 450 sq m roadway obliteration; 1,800 cu m riprap; 763 sq m MSE retaining walls; 2,500 t minor crushed aggregate; 3,000 t minor hot asphalt concrete; 5 t asphalt tack coat; 609 m driven piles; 253 cu m structural concrete; 33,370 kg epoxy coated reinforced steel; 145,000 kg steel structures; 144 m steel bridge railing; 4 ea fixed bridge bearing devices; 4 ea expansion bridge bearing devices; 30 m 300 mm culvert; 35 m 450 mm culvert; 2 ea 300 mm end sections; 15 ea down drains; 4 ea catch basins; 160 sq m geocomposite sheet drain system; 50 m 150 mm collector pipe; 20.4 m asphalt concrete curb; 320 m guardrail; 4 ea flared terminal section; 25 m bridge transition railing; 250 m fence; 3 ea gates; 1,415 sq m topsoil; 3 ha seeding; 3 ha mulching; 100 ea mountain alder; 200 ea dogwood cuttings; 20 ea ponderosa; & 300 ea willow; 500 sq m erosion control mats; 2 sq m signs; 301 ea permanent traffic control devices; 4,830 ea permanent pavement markings; 1,200 flagger hrs; 3 ea mailboxes; and other smaller items of work. Work shall be completed by 08/30/2005. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
