- NA The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) intends to award a sole source contract to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, for library services. The contractor shall provide to the Volpe Center access to a wide range of material on transportation issues covering scientific and technical areas, social science areas, and policy and regulation areas. The contractor shall be required to provide to the Volpe Center direct access to photocopy requests and reference services via interlibrary loans with the Volpe Center library. The anticipated period of performance is one year with two one year options. A market survey was conducted in June 2003 and the results of this survey support our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm. See N umbered Note 22.
