- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a contract with TXU Energy, 300 S. St Paul, Dallas, TX 75201. The contract is to provide scheduled comprehensive distribution maintenance service on all pad-mounted transformers, and all high voltage switchgear breakers and breakers for VA North Texas Health Care System, including Sam Rayburn, Bonham, TX. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority at FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and or obtained at www.arnet.gov. This notice of our intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon the responses received is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a response to this solicitation not later than July 25, 2003, 2:00 P.M., CST, which shall be considered by the agency.
