Description

NA Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona intends to negotiate a sole source contract with General Atomics, 3500 General Atomics Court, San Diego, CA 92121-1194 for maintenance, software/hardware upgrades and support of the Real-Time Robotics Inspection System (RTRIS). General Atomics is the original equipment manufacturer of the RTRIS and because the data relative to the required maintenance, upgrades and support of the RTRIS is proprietary; General Atomics is the so le source provider for this action. The proposed contract for RTRIS maintenance and support shall be for a base year commencing 1 Oct 2003 thru 30 Sep 2004 (fiscal year 2004) with options through fiscal year 2008. The scope of work consists of quarterly p reventative maintenance on the RTRIS, bi-annual robotics and controller maintenance, including system functional checks, software upgrades, failure diagnosis, performing minor repairs, and Mon-Fri telephone support/consultation. This action is considered t o be commercial in nature and simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13 will be used for award. This acquisition falls under SIC 7629 and NAICS 811219 with a small business standard of $5 million. Interested parties may submi t evidence of data rights to the RTRIS and technical literature and showing their capability to meet the Government??????s requirement no later than 5:00 PM, MST on 11 Aug 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determinatio n by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice and solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive ac quisition. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for receipt of technical capability offers for consideration is 26 days instead of 45 days.
