Description

General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting quotations from qualified firms for the refurbishing of historic WWII guns at Ga'an Point, War in the Pacific National Historic Park, Guam. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, material, transportation and incidentals necessary to rehabilitate these two historic artillery pieces to stable condition without attempting to replace missing components or otherwise repair them to their original appearance or to firing condition. This solicitation will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is: 541990 and the small business size standard is $6.0 million. This is a "Best Value" procurement. The Government will consider an offeror's experience and past performance history in comparison to the offered price, with price being equal in importance to the offeror's capability. Issuance of the Request for Quotations (RFQ) is expected to be on or about July 28, 2003 at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at that website. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the EC site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the solicitation documents. No other notifications will be sent. All vendors should pre-register by logging onto the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Available files to download will be in one, or a combination, of the following formats: HTML, Microsoft Word - 97, Microsoft Excel - 97, Portable Document Format (PDF), or AutoCAD DWG or DWF. Free downloads of "reader" software are available for the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader at http://www.adobe.com, or for the AutoCAD reader called "Volo View Express" at http://www.autodesk.com. Responses from Offerors will be accepted at the address listed in the solicitation in hard copy with the manual signature of the authorized company official. Facsimile offers shall NOT be accepted. Responses will be due approximately three weeks from the actual issue date following the date of posting of the solicitation, unless extended by amendment. Actual response date will be stated on the solicitation. Individual requests for solicitation packages will not be accepted and no packages are available in hard copy.
