- Description
- NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Invitation for Bids (IFB)for providing the labor, equipment and materials to demolish Buildings 4490, 4498, 4499, 4313, and 4651 at the Marshall Space Flight Center, AL. Building 4490 is a 4,000 Square Foot storage shed. Building 4498 is a 7,000 square foot storage facility. Building 4499 is a 4,000 square foot storage facility. Building 4313 is a 7900 square foot storage facility. The project includes the removal and proper disposal of all demolished materials. The buildings will be taken down to the slab on this project. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $100,000.00-$250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. All packages requested must be in writing and contain the Company Name, Address, and Phone/Fax numbers. Request for IFB packages should be made to the below listed personnel. Safety records of the prime contractor and subcontractor will be a consideration at award time and the prime contractor must have an EXPERIENCED MODIDIFICATION RATING (EMR) of 1.0 or less and proof included within the bid package. The prime subcontractors EMR rating shall be no more than 1.1. Requests for IFB packages will not be accepted less than 10 days prior to bid opening. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 236210 and $28.5M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about July 29,2003 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about August 29,2003. The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from John Busbey @256-544-0896. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. (a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of the solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing. Telephone questions will not be accepted.
