- Amendment issued to correct training dates to read as cited below. Also add the number of attendees per training session. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The Request for Quotation number is DTCG89-03-Q-6LR236 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-14. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS is 611519. The small business sized standard is $6 Mil Annually. The contract type will be a firm fixed price purchase order. The Government proposes to solicit quotes for the following training sessions. Training Requirements: General Firefighting: Familiarize personnel with shipboard firefighting systems, procedures and equipment. This includes proper techniques and procedures for general shipboard firefighting. Fires include Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie fires and fires involving conventional weapons. The duties of oxygen breathing apparatus men, nozzlemen, hosemen, plugmen, accessmen, and portable extinguisher supplymen are also addressed. This course should satisfy the OPNAV damage control proficiency to level II. Team Firefighting: Expose experienced fire parties to live fire scenarios including Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie fires. Team members will be expected to comprehend and apply fire fighting principles as well as possess the ability to solve problems while performing in a billet on the emergency party. Billets include On-scene leader, Team Leader, Investigator, Nozzleman, Hoseman, Plugman, and Unitlityman. This course satisfies level III. Training Dates: 29-30 Jul, 31-01 Aug, and 07-08 Aug 2003(General Firefighting/approx 20+ attendees per session), 25-28 Aug 2003(Team Firefighting/24 attendees). Location: Seattle, WA. AWARD: This purchase will be based on the following criteria: Lowest price for services meeting all qualifications referenced in solicitation. Contractors shall include literature detailing course curriculum and instructor's qualifications. NOTE: Two(2) separate orders my be awarded(one for Basic and one for Advanced).
