- DTCG87-03-B-643178 - Construct Helipad at Craig, Alaska. The base bid includes excavation, importing and placing earth materials at the site in order to construct a building pad and approach road in the tidal area. The total volume of imported earth materials will exceed 10,000 cubic yards and includes shot rock, aggregate base course, two classes of rip rap, armor rock, and unclassified material. The bidder will be responsible for determination of quantities for bidding purposes. The work includes, construction of 100'x100' reinforced slab-on-grade helipad landing surface and marking the surface with reflective paint; installation of a fabricated fiberglass hut at the site to be employed as a power building; establishing new electrical service to the power building by running buried electrical feeders; installation of helipad perimeter lighting and a pole-mounted landing surface spotlight (all lighting is to be radio-controlled & FAA certified). Based on available funds, the following additive items depicted in the contract documents may be awarded: demolish and discard the existing helipad; installation of various guardrails and gates; installation of topsoil and seeding; installation of park benches, planter boxes, trees and shrubs. The estimated start work date is mid to late September 2003, with a performance period of 270 calendar days. The estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the applicable size standard is $28.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time of bid opening. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will only be available through a link in FedBizOpps to the Federal Technical Data Solution (FEDTeDS) website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FEDTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau.
