- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a study to prepare an estimate of decommissioning and decontaminating (D&D) an existing radioactive facility.***** This procurement will be handled in a two-step process. STEP (1): Competition will be limited to vendors who (A) are able to demonstrate prior experience with D&D in accordance with standards set by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; and (B) can provide evidence of requisite security clearances to handle restricted information.*****Interested vendors should submit written indication of ability to comply with (A) and (B), above, to arrive on or before 3:00 PM EST on July 31, 2003, at NIST, Acquisition and Logistics Division/Contracts, ATTN: Tamara Grinspon, 100 Bureau Drive, STOP 3571, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-3571.*****STEP (2): The Government will review timely responses to requirements for STEP (1) to determine whether conditions (A) and (B) above have been met. A solicitation will be sent to only those vendors assessed to have successfully met these conditions. The Government anticipates the release of said solicitation on August 4, 2003. Due date for submission of proposals will be September 2, 2003.*****The Government anticipates awarding one firm fixed price contract to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.***** The period of performance is expected to be three (3)months.***** See Numbered Note 26.*****
