Description

***THIS AMENDMENT IS TO INFORM ALL INTERESTED PARTIES THAT THIS REQUIREMENT HAS BEEN CANCELED IN IT'S ENTIRETY.**** THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS ONLY. The NAICS code is 334519 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Precision Engineering Division of the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a contractor to design and supply a precision temperature controlled environmental enclosure for a laser interferometer. The specifications are described in the attached Request for Quotation Number SB1341-03-Q-0667. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) is being issued utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The magnitude of this requirement is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. Delivery is required within 90 days after the receipt of order. All responsible sources may submit a quotation. See Numbered Note 1 an 26. Evaluation of the quotations will be made based on the basis of the best value to the Government with price, experience and past performance factors considered. The RFQ, amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about June 14, 2003 and will only be available via the Internet at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
