Description

This request for proposal (RFP) is for the solicitation of a firm fixed-price design-build contract for two new passenger elevators at the Denison Job Corps Facility located at 10 Opportunity Drive, Denison, IA 51442. This project includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment to design and construct this project. The elevators will be located at two separate sites on campus. One site has an existing shaft area for interior installation. The other installation site will require a separate shaft to be constructed adjacent to the building structure with one level below ground. Both elevators will be required to be 3-stop, ADA compliant. Center operations must continue without interruption during construction. A pre-bid conference will be held at the Denison Job Corps, Administration Building, Conference Room, 10 Opportunity Drive, Denison, IA at 2:00 p.m., August 7th. ALL INTEREST PARTIES MUST ATTEND. Bid packets will be issued at this time. No written or faxed requests for bid packets will be accepted. This contract will be procured using Source Selection procedures, in accordance with FAR 6.401. The FAR estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bids are due to the Center no later then August 21, 2003, 10:00 a.m. Proposals will be evaluated to determine which offer provides the best value to the Denison Job Corps. The Denison Job Corps reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at any time prior to award..
