- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation reference number is F8012931820100 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. In accordance with FAR subpart 19.2, it is the policy of the Government to provide maximum practicable opportunities in its acquisition for small business concerns. In accordance with FAR Subpart 19.5, this acquisition has been exclusively set-aside for participation by small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 333923. Small business size standard is 500 employees. Contractors shall submit a quote for all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to perform retrofit of safety sensor bumper pads on platforms 1 and 2 of the Telescoping Maintenance Platforms. Place of performance is the Corrosion Control Facility, Building 1160, at McChord Air Force Base, Washington. This RFQ has one line item: 0001 Install bumpers for Platforms 1 and 2 in Building 1160. The following are the list of tasks: Platform #1: 1. Retrofit with new bumper mounts. 2. Set-up ?zone? control wiring for platform. 3. Install new bumpers on platform zone. 4. Install custom zone-control and interface power supply for platform zone. 5. Complete all wiring, interconnections and system testing. Platform #2: 1. Retrofit with new bumper mounts. 2. Set-up ?zone? control wiring for platform. 3. Install new bumpers on platform. 4. Install custom zone-control and interface power supply for platform. 5. Complete all wiring, interconnections and system testing. A site visit will be conducted on Monday, 21 Jul 03, at 10:00 A.M./Pacific Standard Time. The meeting will be held in the Contracting Squadron, Bldg 1197, McChord Air Force Base. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
