Description
NA Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for the Exchange/Purchase of 10 each Caterpillar CAT D-7155 Transmissions NSN 2520-01-082-8143, PN: MA21020. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 , as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DAHA41-03-T-0058 is issued as a Request F or Quotation(RFQ)which incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 14, effective as of 06/23/03. This is a total small business set-aside acquisition with an associated NAICS of 336350, small business size standard of 750 employees. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not applicable. Description of requirements for CAT D-7155 Transmission is as follows: Complete transmission with forward clutch/brake assembly and output shaft yoke, Unit must not have been disassembled, No broken or missing external components, Output and input shafts must rotate freely 360 degrees, Transmissions will be completely disassembled. All components and parts will be inspected for serviceability. All repair parts, reu sed hard parts, components and the entire overhauled transmission must meet the Technical Manual Specifications. (Chapter 7, TM 9-2320-273-34, Direct and General Support Maintenance, dated 18 Feb 90. Changes 1 and 2 dated 1 Aug 83 and 8 Apr 87.)Mandatory replacement parts will include: All seals(including bell housing o-ring), gaskets, all bearings and filters, all damaged hard parts and components, all valve body diaphragms and o-rings. Transmissions must pass a dynamometer test. Dyno test shall include: RPM, Flow, Stall, Leaks and Shift Quality. All pressures will be recorded and returned to the TX-RSMS along with the Dyno report. Transmission will be UV Tested (Die Test), with NO fluid leaks allowed. Special attention to the mating surface between fro nt and rear housings. Stamped metal plate (data plate) will be affixed to the transmission; data plate will include assembly number, part number and serial number. Data plate must be installed on the lower rear housing, so it may be visible when assembly is installed. Transmission must be painted CARC Green. All rebuilt transmissions will start the SIX (6) month warranty period on the date the TX-RSMS completes the installation. Vendor is required to pick up the core transmission from and and deliver the r ebuilt transmission to the TX-RSMS, 748 East McLeroy, Saginaw, TX 76179-4604.
