Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about 08/01/03. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The work of this contract consists of replacing roofs at three park structures located in the towns of Wellfleet and North Truro, Massachusetts. 1.Maintenance facility, Cape Cod National Seashore; Replace approx. 10,000 s.f. of tar and gravel roofing and install specified EPDM roofing, insulation, flashings and related components. Replace 700 l.f. of lead painted 2"x6" fascia. 2. Residence at 4 Duck Harbor Rd., Wellfleet MA: Replace 2150 sf. of built up roofing and install specified EPDM roofing, insulation, flashings and related components. 3. Building # 34, Highlands Center, formerly North Truro Air Force Base: Remove approx. 4,311 sf., 2 layers of asphalt shingles. Remove and replace approx. 312 lf. of fascia. Install 30 year, 3 tab asphalt shingle roof and related components. This Solicitation is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. The NAICS code is 238160. Multiple firm fixed price contracts may be awarded. The construction estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency.
