Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Biological Resource Division, in Santa Cruz, CA intends to make a sole source award to Wildlife Computers, Redmond, WA for the purchase of 20 each, Mk9 Archival tags, for implanting into sea otters for sea otter tracking project. Archival tags are used for tracking the movements and studying the population characteristics of California sea otters. Archival tags are implanted into the sea otters to record physical and environmental data. Archival tags must be compatible with Telemetry Systems (ATS) sea otter radio transmitters previously used on sea otters without causing infection problems after implantation. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond within ten days of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (650) 329-5114 or email vfriesner@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
