Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/ATSDR intends to solicit a quotation, on a Sole Source basis from Elsevier Science, 360 Park Ave, South, New York, NY 10010 Science Direct access to electronic versions of 175 journals published exclusively by Elsevier Science. Includes limited access to all CDC /ATSDR employees located in any geographical site following established CDC Information Center Policy which includes web-based compatibility, access to available archival copies, generation of regular usage statistics, copies of articles made in compliance with the US Copyright Law, Section 108, the ability to browse the ?table of contents? of these journals, and access for all CDC/ATSDR IC library visitors from library workstations. Elsevier Science is the only known company which can provide electronic access to this particular subset, Science Direct. Topical scope of these journals covers a range of general health, medicine, agricultural and biological sciences, bichemistry, genetics & molecular biology, chemistry, environmental science, immunology & microbiology, materials science, mathematics, neuroscience, pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutics, physics and astronomy, psychology and social science topics for the period 01/01/2003 ?12/31/2003. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized and an oral quotation will be solicited on or about 08/08/2003. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). Qualified vendors have 15 days from the date of this synopsis to submit capability sttements delineating their ability to provide this access. Information faxed to Shirli R. Wall @ 404-638-5456 will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation exists.
