Description: The National Institute on Aging, NIH, Gerontology Research Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics, Medical College of Virginia. The institute will ascertain and perform a full genome scan on a Christchurch, New Zealand sample of sibling pairs plus parents concordant for nicotine dependence. The genome scan will include 451 informative markers and will be done on 343 families including 201 separate sib pairs as part of our on-going research.
