- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the following commercial item: Luxo Corporation WAVE+ ESD illuminated magnifier, model 17900 ?or equal?; quantity=273. Description: The standard magnifier lens shall be 3.5 diopters (1.85X) and of rectangular dimensions 6.75? x 4.5? or greater. The magnifier lens shall be distortion free, treated with an Anti-reflective coating that disperses glare from other lights in the immediate environment and coated to be electro-static dissipative. The magnifier shall be mounted on a precision balanced arm configuration that maintains the position it is placed in with zero spring back. No locking knobs or set screws shall be needed for the arm configuration to maintain it?s set position. The arm configuration will have a reach of 45? or more. The components (i.e. arm, head, lens, and light cover) shall be treated to eliminate static build-up for working with ESD sensitive electronics. The color of the overall arm configuration shall be black. The head shall be able to pivot 180 degrees without setting adjustment knobs. The neck shall be able to rotate 180 degrees without setting adjustment knobs. The arm shall be able to rotate up to 360 degrees without setting adjustment knobs. The magnifier lens shall be capable of utilizing OEM adapter lens to reach 4, 8 and 10 diopter magnification. The illumination shall be 26W or greater with at least two independently controlled bulbs. The illuminated magnifier shall include the hardware necessary to mount the item to the edge of a 1.75? thick workbench. This item is required within 30 days ARO, and FOB destination is required. This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted) on F09650-03-Q-0091. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. NAICS code: 339115; size standard = 500 employees. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through the issue date of the solicitation.
