Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The US Army CECOM RDE Center, Army Power Division, Ft. Belvoir, VA, intends to purchase a small environmental chamber for the purpose of testing small fuel cells. Candidates responding to this request for quote shall be non-developmental (in production), and shall be ready for delivery in 6 weeks or less from the receipt of contract. Unit shall be delivered ready for operation; if technical support is required during installation that cost shall be included in the quotation. The following technical perf ormance features are required: 1. Interior Size: Min. 27 cu. Ft; 32 cu. Ft. desired 2. Exterior Size: Maximum 70?????? wide x 70?????? deep x 83?????? high [Note: A chamber that can be partially disassembled or assembled on site to meet the 83?????? door clearance height requirement is acceptable.] 3. Temperature Range: Min. -35C to 177C (-31F to 350F) 4. Temperature Stability/Control Accuracy: 1 degree C at steady state after stabilization 5. Temperature Pulldown: From +24C to -18C in 20 minutes; -35C in 30 minutes. 6. Live Load Capacity: 1000 watts at ??????30C. Note: 2-5 scfm make up air will be used; to be provided by government. 7. Humidity range: 10% RH to 98% RH; bounded by maximum dry bulb temperature of 85C and minimum 4C dew point. 8. Humidity control: +/- 5% RH as measured at the control sensor. 9. Input Power: 230V single phase or 208V three-phase; 60 amp circuit or less. 10. Air-cooled refrigeration system. 11. Fog-free viewing window in door. 12. 3-4 access ports with plugs for wiring, tubing, etc; at least two of these 2.875?????? minimum diameter. 13. Programmable controller with IEEE-488 or RS-232 computer interface. 14. Heavy-duty casters. Responses should be no longer than ten (10) pages. The resultant contract will be firm fixed price.
