Description
NAICS Code: 541690 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA) Radiation Protection Division (RPD) intends to award a sole source fixed-price Purchase Order to Risk Assessment Corporation (RAC) of Neeses, SC, using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain expert peer review of EPA's guidance document for radionuclide National Emissions Source Hazardous Air Pollutant Standards (NESHAPs) titled "Considerations in Developing and Using Methods for Estimating Diffuse or Fugitive Air Emissions of Radionuclide at Department of Energy (DOE) Facilities". The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541690. It has been determined that because of the qualifications and experience of RAC as the premier company in analysis and modeling diffuse emissions at many DOE facilities, including Los Alamos National Laboratory, it is the only vendor uniquely qualified to meet this requirement. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. However, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase Order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The magnitude of this procurement is less than $25,000. All question should be directed to Jami Rodgers via e-mail at rodgers.jami@epa.gov.
