Description
Provide all labor, material, equipment and transportation necessary to repair the existing floating docks and install new lighting on the haul-out pier at the U.S. Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment. The work includes but is not limited to the following: (A) On Dock C, install new through-bolts and backing plates for the four existing north cleats. Replace the two eastern pile hoop guides; (B) Install new aluminum diamond plank decking on gangways 1 and 2; (C) On Dock G, replace the eight existing cleats to include replacing the existing through-bolts and backing plates. Install new D-fenders along both sides. Replace the two existing eastern pile hoop guides; (D) On Dock E, remove the existing 3x12 rub rail from both sides. Install new D-fenders along both sides. Replace the four existing pile hoop guides with new pile hoop guides; (E) On dock I and J, install a new D-fenders around the perimeter. Replace the two existing pile guides on the north pile between the docks; (F) On Docks K and B, install a new stainless steel transition plate between the docks. Replace three pile guide hoops on Dock B. Replace the inboard 4x12 waler on Dock K. Install new D-fender on the inboard side of both docks; (G) On Dock D, replace the northeast pile guide; (H) On Docks K and G, install new floatation on the south side to counteract listing. Submit a leveling plan prior to performing work; (I) Install two new 120 VAC, 250-watt high-pressure sodium lights on 30? hinged light poles onto the existing boat haul-out pier. Reuse the existing conduit and wiring to connect the new lights to the existing junction boxes on the haul-out pier. The new aluminum light pole hinge shall allow the pole to lower for easy maintenance. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 and is set-aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 238990. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on this website. This solicitation can be downloaded from the http://www.eps.gov on approximately 4 August 2003. If it does not appear on that day, please check back daily. The due dates for bids will be approximately 3 September 2003. This date is estimated and may change. For security reasons all Coast Guard drawings are only available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS), which will have a separate link on the FedBizOpps web page, identified as Technical Data Package. Offerors will need to register with FedTeDS and receive a user name and password to be able to download Coast Guard drawings. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
