- Sources Sought: Air Mobility Command Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB FL, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to purchase bird netting to include installation. Interested parties should review the draft Statement of Work SOW and provide any comments via e-mail to this office draft SOW is as follows: TASKING: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials needed to install bird netting for 6 aircraft hangars with approximately 350,000 square feet total to be netted. The netting shall be ?? nylon netting either white or black in color. Netting shall be heat resistant up to 270 degrees Fahrenheit. The contractor is to clean and disinfect the hangars before netting is installed. The netting will be installed not to interfere with lighting and aircraft movement or parking. The Air Force will consider all inputs received. Industry response is encouraged to ensure all parties have maximum opportunity to participate in this acquisition. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies will not be made available. This is not a solicitation, only a notice to determine the availability of the service in the open market. A solicitation will be posted at a later date if required. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 561710. The government seeks industry input to determine if this acquisition should be a total set-aside under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19. Interested small businesses who are certified and qualified as a small business concern ( 8 a, Hubzone, Disadvantaged Business) in NAICS 561710 are encouraged to respond and submit their notification to this office NLT COB on 01 Aug 03. Responding small business will be required to submit a capabilities package outlining their capabilities in key areas as determined by the government and relevant to the performance of this requirements.
