Description
NA The Wiesbaden Contracting Center intends to issue a commercial solicitation for logistical support services to the United States (U.S.) Army forces involved in Balkans Mission Rehearsal Exercises (MRXs) in Hohenfels, Germany and any other successor operati on within the United States Army, Europe (USAREUR) Area of Responsibility (AOR) that may be deemed necessary. All firms responding to this notice and meeting all conditions of this notice will receive a Request for Proposal (RFP). The specific goal of th is logistics support contract is to enhance the operational readiness of U.S. Army troops which are about to be deployed to the Operation Joint Forge (OJF) Area of Operations (AO), which currently includes the countries of Hungary, Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo and Macedonia, but could include any countries in USAREURs AOR. The scope of work defines logistic services as: supplies, services, transportation, facilities and maintenance. The successful contractor will have a management plan that addresses all relev ant logistics requirements necessary to support these troops. The solicitation will be available online at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available. The R equest for Proposal (RFP) will convey complete evaluation criteria. The anticipated contract type is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) service contract. Tentative date for issuance of the RFP is 18 August 2003. Tentative date for receipt of proposals is 18 September 2003. Tentative contract award date is 1 December 2003.
