Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is conducting a System Demonstration and Seminar for the Flatrack Refueling Capability (FRC) Advanced Technology Demonstrator (ATD), on 14 August 2003 at 9 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). It will be conducted at the Transportation Demonstration and Support Area (TDSA) located on Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. (See the MARCORSYSCOM FRC web page for map and directions at http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/ctq/frc.asp. This demonstrator was built by Barnes & Reinecke, Inc.425 East Algonquin Road , Arlington Heights, IL 60005-4685. The FRC is a self-contained refueling system unit with a 2,500/3,000-gallon tank, pump, engine, fuel filter separator system, and hoses that will fit within the dimensions of a 20-foot ISO container. The system is intended to be used in conjunction with the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) vehicle to support both ground and aviation refueling and defueling operations primarily in off-road environments. It will replace the M970 5000-gallon semi-trailer refueler. The planned procurement for the Marine Corps, in accordance with a draft Operational Requirements Document (ORD), is 381 units. The FRC Initial Operational Capability (IOC) is currently scheduled for FY07 with Full Operational Capability (FOC) in FY09. This announcement serves to support the Marine Corps? continued survey of industry capabilities. MARCORSYSCOM is hosting this FRC System Demonstration and Seminar to encourage industry?s input to the acquisition process. The FRC draft performance specification will be briefed and the FRC ATD will be demonstrated. A copy of the draft performance specification can be downloaded off of the MARCORSYSCOM FRC web page at http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/ctq/frc.asp. MARCORSYSCOM will utilize information gathered from industry to refine the FRC performance specification and determine an acquisition strategy. Vendors interested in attending the FRC System Demonstration and Seminar must submit a Statement of Interest to the Government no later than 7 August 2003. Statement of Interests shall be submitted to Mr. Barry Roisman with the following guidance: 1. E-mails must be sent to Mr. Barry Roisman at roismabp@svtcsle.com. 2. E-mails must be received by 4 p.m. EDT on 7 August 2003. 3. E-mails must include the following in the Subject Line: FRC ATD Demonstration and Seminar Request for (PROVIDE COMPANY NAME HERE). 4. E-mail must provide phone number, email, and fax contact information for interested vendors as well as a list of those individuals attending (Limit of three people per company). 5. No facsimiles shall be accepted.
