Description
AMENDMENT No. 8 TO THE NASA RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT (NRA) ENTITLED "RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES IN SPACE SCIENCE (ROSS) 2003," NRA 03-OSS-01, RELEASED JANUARY 31, 2003. On or about July 23, 2003, Amendment No. 8 to NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space Science" (NRA 03-OSS-01) will be posted on its homepage Web site at http://research.hq.nasa.gov/code_s/nra/current/NRA-03-OSS-01/index.html that establishes a new Program Element A.2.19 in Appendix A. entitled "High Capability Instruments for Planetary Exploration." This new Program Element was formerly posted for public comment as "High Power Instruments for Planetary Exploration" and solicits proposals for the development of spacecraft-based instrument technologies that provide capabilities well beyond those of existing flight instruments. These instruments will utilize higher power levels, data rates, mass, and observation time for planetary exploration. Notices of Intent to propose are due August 22, 2003, and proposals are due October 3, 2003.
