The Standby server automatically assumes the role of the Primary Server. Some of the benefits are instant disaster recovery, minimal downtime, remote data vaulting/data protection, business continuity, and avoid single point of failure. Offsite Archive for the Netware is an electronic data vaulting and disaster recovery product that allows you to transfer a stable point-in-time image of your data to an offsite location. Multiple Source Servers can mirror data to a single Target Server. OSA uses Snapshot servers to create snapshots of protected volumes which is then transferred from the Source Server to the Target Server. Once the initial synchronization of all the data is performed, only the delta changes are sent to the Target Server. Within minutes, the Source Server will take over the Target Server.
