- Description
- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center (AAC), Austin, TX intends to negotiate sole source with Phoenix Software International (=93Phoenix=94) for continued annual software maintenance support for the proprietary software, FALCON and (E)JES.=20 Software maintenance includes updates, releases and reasonable technical support. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C/ 253(c)(1). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The award will be made as a commercial acquisition under FAR Part 12. The software are installed on IBM 9672-T16 and IBM 2064-2C5 at the AAC. The anticipated period of performance is FY 2004 (10/1/03 through 9/30/04) and option periods (FY05 and FY06). The scope of this procurement also includes possible upgrade licenses/fees on a per MSU basis. Responses must be in writing and must be received within three (3) calendar days of this notice. In addition, responses must include pricing and documentation in sufficient detail to allow evaluation of the service and prices. This includes the vendor=92s commercial price list, and GSA contract and price list (if one exists). Third party firms will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing evidence that they have been granted rights by Phoenix to provide the service bureau rights and maintenance service on the proprietary software identified herein. No solicitation documents are available and requests for such will not be acknowledged. If one is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Responses may be faxed to 512-326-6028 to the attention of the Contracting Officer, with the hard copy to follow in overnight mail.
