- Solicitation/Synopsis: This combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. The Northern American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) 561790, and size standard of $6,000,000.00. The proposed contract listed is 100% set-aside for small business. NON-PERSONAL SERVICES: Contractor will provide all labor, parts, tools, materials, and transportation necessary to provide duct cleaning on gas-fired furnaces in Military Family Housing Units Carlin Heights, Capehart, and MCP totaling 300 units. The following items are to be serviced and cleaned: Duct cleaning/leading up to the exterior vent pipe; heat exchanger; heat blower; vent pipe/leading to various areas in the Military Family Unit; hot air blower; flue piping; general maintenance clean up surrounding the furnace area. Contractor must provide all labor, parts, tools, materials, and transportation necessary to clean boiler and flue pipes in historical brick units, totaling 150 units. The following items are to be serviced and cleaned: Gas fired boiler; heat exchanger; pipes/fins cleaned leading through the house; furnaces on third floor, basement, cleaned; flue pipes from heat exchanger to chimney cleaned; general maintenance clean up surrounding the furnace area. The contractor will be responsible for all scheduled appointments with the occupants of the 450 total units. It is projected that the performance period will last approximately 3 months after award. Contractor will be notified after award, and shall be allowed 7 calendar days to begin work after award.
