Description

NA Packing, Containerization and Local Drayage of Personal Property Shipments. Full and Open Competition. Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform all work in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. Ar eas of coverage include specified counties in North Alabama, Central Alabama and Southern Tennessee. Period of performance shall include a base year effort and four (4) twelve month options. Notice: Two-Step Bid Procedures shall be utilized for this acq uisition, reference FAR 14.5. Step One shall be issued as a Letter Request for Technical Proposal (LRFTP). Only offerors that submit technically acceptable proposals in Step One will be permitted to participate in Step Two. The LRFTP will be issued on o r about 8 August 2003. A Firm-Fixed price, requirements contract is anticipated. This solicitation will not be electronically posted via the internet. Requests for the solicitation package must be submitted in writing to: Mr. John Caudle, Contract Spec ialist, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, AMSAM-AC-SS-BC, Building 5303, Martin Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5280.
