Description

Roads Construction Project No. P.I.R. Consolidated No. 27: The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks Indian-Owned Construction Firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment and services to grade, drain, place aggregate base course, hot asphalt concrete pavement, final fog seal and pavement markings on 4.010 km of roadway, Tohono O'odham Nation, Pima County, Arizona. Estimated Price Range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. ISSUE DATE o/a 21 JULY 2003. BID OPENING DATE o/a: 20 AUG 2003. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR 51% INDIAN-OWNED AND CONTROLLED FIRMS UNDER THE "BUY INDIAN ACT." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Indian firms bidding under this Act must self-certify they are eligible under the "Buy Indian Act."
