Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about August 4, 2003. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code is 238160. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitations and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. The work of this contract consists removal of asbestos tile roofing, roofing felt underlayment, repair of deteriorated roof decking (estimated 100 square feet total), removal of gutter (estimated 90 linear feet) and downspouts (estimated 40 vertical feet), replace all roof edge, facia board and soffit. Furnish and install new underlayment, asphalt shingle roof and appurtenance. Furnish and install new 5-inch seamless gutter (estimated 90 linear) and 2-inch x 3-inch downspouts (estimate 40 vertical feet) with 2 each, concrete splash pan. The location of the work to be performed is Building 3, Miller Field, Gateway National Recreation Area, Staten Island Unit, Staten Island, New York, 10305. An on-site inspection of the construction area is highly recommended . An organized site visit will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2003. Attendees will meet at Headquarters Building 26 at Miller Field, Staten Island.
