Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about 08/06/2003. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The work of this contract includes furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision; and performing all operations required to complete the project. Work of this Contract will occur at the Watson/Schmid Dune Shack located at Cape Cod National Seashore, Truro, MA. The principal features of the Work include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following: ? Raising of the dune shack through the use hydraulic jacks and temporary cribbing ? Dismantling and salvaging of the unattached wooden deck (all wood to be saved) ? Placement and setting of six - 20 foot long Platform Posts 10 feet in the ground by crane with permanent jacking boxes attached to the posts for future raising or lowering of support platform. ? Construction of a support platform beneath the structure supported by six - 20 foot posts ? Placement and anchoring of the dune shack to the support platform ? Construction of an entry ramp for access to the dune shack at it's new elevation ? Lifting of the well casing and piping (by crane) for servicing and extension of well by NPS. This Solicitation is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. The NAICS code is 238910. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded. A single award will be made. The construction estimate is between $25,000.00 and $100,000. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency.
