Description
The Department of Energy?s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Service Center located in Albuquerque, NM, intends to award a contract to Bushmaster, 999 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, ME 04062, on a sole source basis. The items to be purchased under this contract will be: 150 each #8448524-V Stripped V Match Upper Receiver; 430 each #1005-087-8988-PK Six Position Telescoping Stock Assembly for Pre-Bans; 480 each #A BBL-14M4A 14.5? M16 M4 Type Carbine Barrel Assembly w/Bayonet Lug & Barrel Nut w/o Flash Suppressor; 480 each #1005-947-3504 Gas Tube. Bushmaster has been determined to be the only company who can meet the needs of the NNSA Service Center. This determination is based on the fact that Bushmaster is the manufacture of these parts and that some of these parts are not available commercially and can be used only on Law Enforcement/Military registered full autos or legal short-barreled rifles. Numbered Note 22 applies to this action. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the response due date/time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
