Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented by additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Requests for quotation are not being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination to compete this requirement will be made at the discretion of the government. The solicitation number is DOJ-APG-4-Z-001 and it is issued as an RFQ. This solicitation is a proposed sole source award to MARK RODEFFER, LOVETTSVILLE, VIRGINIA 20180. The services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1). The contractor shall serve as the Department's subject matter expert (SME) and will be detailed to the General Services Administration to participate in the interagency task force whose mission is to redefine the Travel Management System language in the Federal Travel Regulation and identify "quick hits" to simplify policy and streamline processes. The SME also will evaluate off-the-shelf travel systems, make recommendations for selection, and test and implement the GSA eTravel solution once it is selected. The GSA eTravel solution will apply to all agencies, including the Department of Justice. This requirement shall be a labor hour task for an estimated 1,200 hours.
