Description

The United States Secret Service intends to award a sole source purchase order to Electro-Metrics, 231 Enterprise Rd., Johnstown, NY 12095 for certain Antenna Kits and cases. The model number of the required supply is EM6000. The kit offered by Electro-Metrics is the only known supply that meets USSS requirements. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotations nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Only written responses sent via electronic mail or facsimile will be accepted. Responses must be received by 3:30 PM Eastern, August 1, 2003. The Government anticipates award on or about August 4, 2003. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
