Description
The Government has a requirement of annual maintenance contract for Automatic Door Maintenance at all locations of the Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems--University Drive, Highland Drive & Delafield Road (ASP). The contract period is for one (1) year beginning October 1, 2003 and continuing through September 30, 2004 (Fiscal Year 2004) with Government Option to Renew for an additional 4 years (Fiscal Years 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008). Contract will include preventive maintenance, repair and quarterly inspection of all automatic door operator equipment for the period. Door brands are Gyro Tech, Horton, Besam and Stanley. Contractor must be a qualified automatic door maintenance contractor who performs maintenance on electrically operated automatic doors on a full-time basis. Monthly maintenance prices shall include all repairs, parts, equipment, labor and travel necessary to keep the automatic doors in first class operating conditions. The NAICS Code is 235310 with the small business standard of 12.0 M. Hard copy and electronic version of the solicitation will be available O/A August 5, 2003. Bidders should contact va.bos.admin@mail.va.gov regarding any problems downloading the solicitation from the website. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at the URL addresses. Bidders are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments and they are strongly encouraged to complete the Solicitation Mailing List on the website. Requests for a hard copy of the solicitation must be submitted in writing to Marian Ropelewski at the above address specifying the Solicitation Number and accompanied by a non-refundable check for $10.00 made out to the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. No telephone requests will be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened on September 4, 2003 at 2:00 PM in Room 373e located on the third floor at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Procurement is open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Procurement is subject to the availability of funds.
