- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F45603-03-T-0034 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This solicitation is set-aside for small business, the associated NAICS code is 423440 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. CLIN 0001, Quantity- 1 each, LOCKING DEVICE/MECHANISM FOR EXISTING MANHOLE/HANDHOLE COVERS. THIS DEVICE/MECHANISM MUST BE DURABLE AND EASILY LOCKED/UNLOCKED. THE DEVICE/MECHANISM MUST NOT PROTRUDE ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE COVER OR MUST BE AS CLOSE TO FLUSH MOUNT AS POSSIBLE. THESE ARE THE TYPES OF COVERS AND QUANTITIES OF EACH: 38 CONVENTIONAL ROUND COVER MANHOLES; 14 SINGLE RECTANGULAR COVER HANDHOLES; 1 DUAL RECTANGULAR COVER HANDHOLE. EACH ROUND COVER REQUIRES 2 BOLTS AND EACH RECTANGULAR COVER REQUIRES 2 BOLTS WHILE THE TWO-SIDED RECTANGULAR COVER REQUIRES FOUR BOLTS. MCGARD INTIMIDATOR MANHOLE BOLT: 5/8-11 X 2.260 LG (PART #117011) OR EQUAL. Also give estimate on each for possible purchase increase when funding is available. Delivery requirement: FULL INSTALLATION MUST BE INCLUDED AND COMPLETED WITHIN 2 WEEKS FROM THE TIME IT BEGINS. LOCATION OF MANHOLES/HANDHOLES IS ON MCCHORD AFB.
