Description

The purpose of the project is to repair a portion of the floor and intermediate wall of the Canyon Ferry Stilling Basin by underwater methods to avoid dewatering the stilling basin. The maximum water depth is approximately 50 feet. Principal components of the work consist of: 1) Cleanup of stilling basin to remove reinforcing bars, rocks, gravel, sand, debris, trash, and other loose materials; 2) Selectively removing concrete from stilling basin; 3) Furnishing and installing concrete anchors to anchor new concrete to existing concrete; 4) Constructing cast-in-place reinforced concrete to repair stilling basin structure. The work is located at Canyon Ferry Dam approximately 17 miles east of Helena, Montana in Lewis and Clark County. Required delivery is 246 days from receipt of the notice to proceed. The estimated price range for the work is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available on August 22, 2003. Proposals are tentatively due on September 26, 2003, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2231, Billings, Montana, 59101. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a non-refundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After the issuance the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2231, Billings, Montana and Montana Area Office, 2900 4th Avenue North, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 234990.
