Description

NOTICE: THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTORS. Project Description: The work of this contract consists of crack cleaning/surface preparation, fog sealing and striping of park roads. Crack cleaning consists of removal of all foreign materials from cracks. A fog seal consists of applying a slow-setting emulsified asphalt diluted with water onto an existing asphalt surface. Striping consists of painting double yellow reflective traffic markings on all roadway sections, white reflective fog lines, and white non-reflective markings on paved parking areas in accordance with specifications, and at locations identified after Fog Seal coating has been applied. Where repainting of existing striping is to be done that repainting shall follow the same as original. In those areas where layout is necessary, the Contractor shall layout the work in accordance with the following specifications and standard trade practices. Contract duration is 30 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted on electronic commerce on or about August 1, 2003 at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the solicitation unless extended.
