Description

This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items, Suggested Source TRANSTECHNOLOGY CORPERATION BREEZ-EASTERN DIV. 0001) 500 EACH – Tie Down, Cargo Aircraft (chain) Material Bursting Strength: 10000.000 Pounds Component Length: 9,000 Feet Nominal Chain. Nondefinitive Spec/Std data: 1 type. OR EQUAL 0002) 500 Each Tie Down, Cargo Aircraft End item identification: Tie down, cargo, ACFT Tupes MB1/MB2 Adjuster assembly, tension. Reference data and literature : 11N-45-51C OR EQUAL. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on RFQ F1EMCC32060200. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. North American Industrial Classification Standard 336413, Size Standard 1000 employees, applies to this procurement. FOB: Destination for delivery to 365 Red Fir Ave, Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after bid opening with no obligation to the bidder by the government. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52-211.6 Brand Name or Equal. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors—Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders—Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Specifically the following clauses cited are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; FAR 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; FAR 52.222-42, Statement of Equivalent Rates for Federal Hires. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Specifically, the following clauses, cited are applicable to this solicitation; DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.224-1, Privacy Act Notification and FAR 52.224-2, Privacy Act, applies to this solicitation.
