Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology has a requirement for REPLACEMENT parts for the CW laser radiometry project. In increasing the capabilities of the C-Series laser lab is upgrading the Spectra-Physics Wavetrain Frequency Doubler. To meet our objective, a number of component sets are necessary for this UPGRADE. We are planning to purchase LBO crystals, cavity optics, and pump beam bending mirror set. It is the intent of the Government to award this procurement on a sole source basis under authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) with Spectra Physics Lasers of Mountain View, CA. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). This synopsis is issued for information only. No competitive solicitation is planned. No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice. Terms & Conditions and agency level protest procedures can be found on web site http://oamweb.osec.doc.gov/conops/#REFERENCE. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement. These are the complete specifications and no RFQ is available. All technical questions shall be addressed to Joshua A. Hadler of NIST at 303 497-4451. This RFQ will expire August 15, 2003.
