Description

The National Park Service, Great Basin National Park has a requirement to construct two (2) one-story buildings. The first building (Building A, public function, approximate 3,125 square feet) consists of a new Exhibits area and Lobby, Men's and Women's Restrooms, Reception and Sales area, two private offices and a storage room, and Building Support rooms. The second building (Building B, priviate function, approximate 3,000 square feet) consists of a Classroom, Workroom two Private Offices, an open office suite, a research library and building support rooms. The construction of both buildings will be wood of framing with a Hardipanel vertical siding finish, wood battens, composition asphalt shingle roof and related site work and utilities connections in the base bid. Bid Alternate and several Bid Additive Items included in this project are: Installtion of standing seam metal roof in lieu of composition asphalt shingle roof, consturction of trellis structure, landscaping trees, design-build photovolaic panel and accessories, installation of veneer stone wall, and exhibit track lighting. The construction of access drive, parking and paving related to the visitor center development is being performed by others under a seperate contract. Is it anticipated the solicitation will be posted approximately August 18, 2003 and interested parties will have 30 calendar days to respond to the solicitation once it is officially issued.
