Description
Under authority of U.S.C. 253©(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland intends to procure from Sequenom, Inc. of San Diego, CA. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339111, and the business size is 100 employees. The Spectropoint 24-pin nanoliter dispensing unit and Spectrodesigner 2.0 software will be used to increase the SNP genotyping capacity of the SNP-typing unit of the Genomics Section of the Genetics and Genomics Branch. The equipment and software must interphase with the existing Sequenom massarray equipment. The hardware shall increase spotting time of at least 6 chips to be spotted in less thatn 1 hour. Software shall increase current level of multiplsing from an average of 3 plex to 6 plex. The software shall design assays and assign them to specific wells recongnized by an existing Sequenom SpectroPREP software package currently in use. Concerns that respond to this synopsis shall furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above and are invited to submit capability statements in an ORIGINAL PLUS TWO (2) no later than fifteen (15) business days from the date of this announcement. Written responses shall include complete description of the equipment to be provided, containing sufficient technical information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the stated requirements as listed above.
