Description

NA The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York intends to use a sealed bidding method to award a contract for the New York Harbor and Adjacent Channels, Port Jersey Channel, Contract No. 2, Bayonne, N.J. This is an unrestricted effort. The applicable NAICS C ode is 237990 with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. The estimated cost for this project is $25,000,000.00 to $50,000,000.00. The duration of the project is approximately 300 calendar days. Plans and specifications shall be made available on or about 12 Aug 2003. DESCRIPTION: The project consists of deepening of the existing 35 feet (MLW) Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 43 feet (MLW). The project area is located at Port Jersey Channel, Bayonne, New Jersey. The project consists of the dredging and disposal of non-rock material. The scope of work also includes the sampling testing of subsurface materials up to 15 locations if necessary. The non-rock material unsuitable for HARS placement will be disposed at an Upland Disposal Facility, Port Author ity of New York and New Jersey Confined Disposal Facility located at the entrance of Elizabeth Channel and/or a contractor proposed disposal site(s). The HARS suitable material will be placed in a HARS site designated by the Government. Point of contact for this project is Renee George at 212-264-0154. Bid Opening date is on or about 12 Sept 20 03 at 2:00 P.M. The media selected for the issuance of solicitations and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation, and a mendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PD F) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requirements are 486 Based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8MB application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidde rs are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and /or addenda that may be issued to this solicitation.
